Debt Consolidation

What is Debt Consolidation? Debt Consolidation is simply the the act of combining several debt obligations into one debt. By consolidating multiple debt that has multiple interest rate into one loan that has a lower or fixed interest rate.

It is commonly use to repay a credit card debt, since credit cards have a higher interest rate compared to a personal loan in a bank. However, some debtors use a collateral to get a through with better or lower interest rate. A collateral (e.g a car or house) is an asset that is forfeited to the lender if the debtor or the person that has a debt fail to pay the interest or debt in time, depending on the agreement.

You can do Debt Consolidation in two ways.

1) Debt Consolidation Service - You can do this by calling s Debt Consolidation Service provider. Most people believe that you need to use there service since they are negotiate deals with the company that you have debt or your credit card company. They can consolidate most types of debts from major credit cards to personal and student loans.

2) Consolidate your Debt on your own - Here are certain ways to do this on your own.

  • You can call the bank or the Credit company and tell them that you having a hard time when it comes to finances and ask them if they have a program about it. Some banks or credit company do no have this but some do.
  • You can get a new card that has a lower interest with 0% interest on balance transfers and then move the debt from your old cards that has high interest to the new card that has a lower interest.
  • You also get a personal loan from your family and friends. They usually do not give interest rate on your debt. Be sure to pay them on time.
  • You can also "freeze" your credit card. Meaning, promise not to use them unless it is emergency or if you have no other choice. This way you can pay each credit card at a time. You can start by those with lower interest. And by accomplishing so, you can set a target for yourself on your way to have a credit card or debt freedom. It will take a lot of discipline to do this but it is worth it.
  • Stop thinking about it, do it now.

Hope this information on Debt Consolidation help you in obtaining a freedom on debt or at least cutting of some debt on your name.

Please feel free to share your comments and suggestion about it. Thanks for reading and happy blogging.

Debt

What is a Debt? A Debt is something you owe. It can be in the form of money or asset. It something granted to us by a creditor which expects repayment plus an interest.

One example of this are Basic loan, in which there is an agreement to lend a principal sum and be paid in a fixed period of time, and here in the Philippines we have some loan provider such as SSS (Social Security System), Pag-Ibig Fund or HDMF (Home Development Fund, and Local Banks. They provide Personal or Salary Loan, Housing loan, and Car loan.

To some middle class and lower class families, loan providers will not be able to approve there application for loan, since they did not pass some standards in which they cannot afford to pay such loan. However they tend to go to other people to lend them some money as personal loan. The popular personal loan here in Philippine is called 5-6, this type of loan are provided by our so called “Bombay” (they are Indian nationals that are trying to make a living here in our country). 5-6 means if I lend you PHP 500 you will be paying PHP 600, in short it has a 20% interest and you can pay it in daily terms within one month depending on your agreement.

As we go through our lives, especially here in the Philippines is hard to make a living, we are sometimes forced to have some debt. And before we knew it we are sometimes buried in our debts.

One of the best ways to reduce your debt is by reducing your Monthly Expenses

There are two types of monthly expenses, first is the Fixed Expenses, This are the house mortgage or rental, and some loans. Second is the Variable Expenses, this are expenses that can be changed or eliminated entirely, such as food, clothing, entertainment, vacations, utilities, etc.

Since Variable Expenses are the ones we can easily change or eliminate, we can start reducing our variable expenses by altering your habits or doing it without.

1. Conserving electricity and water, by doing so we can reduce monthly bills in Electricity and Water.

2. Preparing a Meal from scratch, instead of buying from fast-food or prepared frozen food.

3. Watch movies at home, instead of going to the movie theaters every week.

4. Have your bonding moments in park with your family. Instead of going to malls, it is better to go to some parks. There good parks here in the Philippines.

5. Walk from home. Instead of taking a tricycle to the main road or if your work is just a couple of blocks away it is better to walk. After all walking is one the best exercise.

6. Bring food to your work, just like number 2, it is cheaper and it is much healthier if the food is cooked from home.

7. Set clothing allowance. Instead of buying new clothes every payday, why not try it every other payday.

Debts are not that easy to handle. They come in different sizes. I think the key here is planning. Plan your expenses and you will see the difference.

Hope this information helps you in someway. Please feel free to share your comments and suggestions about this topic.

USB 3.0 on 2009

Universal Serial Bus (USB) it is a serial bus standard to interface or connect devices. It was designed to allow many peripherals such as printers, scanners, web camera, digital camera, mouse, keyboards, game pads and joysticks, media players and flash drives. To be connected using a single socket or USB port and to improve the plug-and-play capabilities by allowing hot swapping or devices to be connected and disconnected without rebooting the computer.

USB 3.0 promoters detailed that SuperSpeed USB (USB 3.0) is on track for initial deployment in 2009. They call it SuperSpeed USB 3.0 since it can run ten times the current bandwidth, reaching roughly 4.8 GB/s to 5.0 GB/s. (Wow that was fast!!!)

But wait theres more....

They have noted that the USB 3.0 is backward compatible, meaning it can also be use to connect or be connected by a lower version such as USB 1.0 and USB 2.0. So no need to worry for us that uses USB 2.0 for our peripherals.

Decision making

Decision making can be regarded as an outcome of mental processes (cognitive process) leading to the selection of a course of action among several alternatives. Every decision making process produces a final choice. The output can be an action or an opinion. Human performance in decision making terms has been subject of active research from several perspectives. From a psychological perspective, it is necessary to examine individual decisions in the context of a set of needs, preferences an individual has and values he/she seeks. From a cognitive perspective, the decision making process must be regarded as a continuous process integrated in the interaction with the environment. From a normative perspective, the analysis of individual decisions is concerned with the logic of decision making and rationality and the invariant choice it leads to
Wikipedia

There are times in our life that we have to make a decision. Here are some steps I hope that would help you in Decision Making process:

Step 1: Know you’re Choices – It is important to know the available choices for you to make a clear decision. This will help you recognize each choice and narrow down the problem.

Step 2: Study each Choice – It is important to gather information on each choice. Try to research on the internet, read some books, and ask some people that you think will give you some information.

Step 3: Who Benefits? – It is important to know if this choice benefits you or not. Who are the concerned? Is this a family decision or a company decision? Try to consult the concerns. This will allow the concerned party to give there insights that will help you in making the decision. But take note, don’t be influenced. You should be the one making decisions not them. Just take into consideration about there insights.

Step 5: Anticipate – Think about your next move. Like the game of chess you have to know what your next move is. What are the complications if you go for each choice?

Step 6: Analyze the complication – This will help you decide which alternative is better. Will it create more problems?

Step 7: Finalize your Decision – If you think you are ready to make a decision then go for it. If not, then go back to step 1.

There are so many decisions we have to make in this life. Decisions are the choices we have to made and the risks we take in our life. There is no perfect decision. Whether we make a right or wrong decision, what's important is that we learn from it and try correct them. After all we are the only one who can decide for ourselves, right?

I hope this Decision making steps help you in making one. Please feel free share your comments and suggestion.

The Guy with a Goal

As I think of the next topic that I will be posting. It came across to my memory when I joined Days with the lord. I remembered when one of the speakers is talking about the fourth day, where actually its is just a three day workshop.

So the Speaker was talking about the fourth day and he point out three kinds of people. He came with the description of each as I have understand:

The Give me Guy is a person that always ask for help and asking for something , someone who cannot stand on its own. They are like Jelly fish, meaning "no backbones".

The Get along Guy is a person that usually get along with others. Friendly, Fun to be with and always there when you need them. However, there is a big catch. Since, they get along very well they sometimes used by The Give me Guy. This are the persons that always say "ok " and does not say "no". I short this are persons that always go with the flow.

The Guy with a Goal is a person that stand out of the three. Unlike the give me guy this person does not need the help of others and can stand on its own. Unlike the get along guy that is just going with the flow. This person is a hard worker and know when to say "yes" or "no". He fights for what he/She believes in and go for the goal and never gives up.

The third guy inspires me to go on with my life. That no matter how we have been burdened with problems we came across, we will stand after every fall. That we should stand for it and continue to aim for our goals. And with the help of God and Hard work I believe we can somehow hit what we are aiming for.

Hope this post inspires you. Keep on aiming! You might hit your own goal. Happy blogging!!!

RAM Upgrades

A RAM (Random access memory) is a type of computer data storage. Today it takes the form of integrated circuits that allow the stored data to be accessed in any order, i.e. at random. The word random thus refers to the fact that any piece of data can be returned in a constant time, regardless of its physical location and whether or not it is related to the previous piece of data. This contrasts with storage mechanisms such as tapes, magnetic discs and optical discs, which rely on the physical movement of the recording medium or a reading head. In these devices, the movement takes longer than the data transfer, and the retrieval time varies depending on the physical location of the next item. The word RAM is mostly associated with volatile types of memory (such as DRAM memory modules), where the information is lost after the power is switched off. However, many other types of memory are RAM as well (i.e. Random Access Memory), including most types of ROM and a kind of flash memory called NOR-Flash.
Wikipedia

RAM Upgrades? That is question that pops up when we suddenly experience some lags and lockups, specially when we are playing games and or browsing the internet. Well as for me, there are certain factors to consider when we go for a RAM Upgrade...

Here are the 4 things I think is the most important factors we should consider before doing so :

1) How much RAM do you have? We should know how much memory do you have. You can check how much memory do you have (For Windows XP) is by Right Clicking on "My Computer" then choose Properties, under General Tab of the System Properties window you can see how many memory do you have under Computer just below or beside CPU Speed.

2) How much RAM do you need? We should know how much memory do you need. If you are using Windows XP, just browsing the internet and with some minor programs word processing and chatting a 512 MB would be enough. But if you are playing some online and or off line high end games, I would recommend you to maximize your it.

3) What are My Options for RAM Upgrade? You should consider your options, the type of RAM and the maximum your computer can take. The best way to verify your options is by reading the motherboard manual for specs and or you can check it online by searching the model of the motherboard and or computer on search engines and support page for branded computers. You may also try contacting your OEM (Original equipment manufacturer) or Store where you purchase it for the info.

4 ) Where do we go for RAM Upgrades? For Branded Computer, you can go to your OEM or Stores, this will assure you that you are getting a reliable and compatible RAM Upgrade. Getting in touch with there Technical Support or Upgrade Support would also be recommended. If you are using a Clone or Non Branded Computers, you can go to some computer stores and or online stores for available upgrades.

RAM Upgrades is very important to us specially for everyday computer users, to have smooth computing experience and by doing so we can accomplish our work much easier. Hope this 4 factors help you in considering if you need a RAM Upgrade. Please feel free to give your comments and suggestions in this subject.

How To Find Happiness?

How to Find Happiness? We often ask our self about it. what really makes you happy? Is it hitting the bulls eye make you happy?

Happiness
it is defined by Merriam - Webster Dictionary as a state of well-being and contentment. We usually laugh and cry sometimes when we are happy. We do all sorts of things just to be happy.

I remember a story I read in a newspaper clippings way back my elementary days. It is a story about a person that has a different way of seeing things. He is happy when he is hungry and he is sad when he is full. The article explained his different behavior. The reason why he is happy when he is hungry is because the next thing to that is he will be full and the reason why he is sad when he is full is because the next thing to that is he will be hungry. That made me think for a while and see the bottom line of it. Some people aim for something and thinks that it will make them happy. One example of this is when we set a goal for ourself, we often hit the goal and after that ask our self whats next?

As the years go by, we are we constantly hitting our goals. Then the question still pops up. "How to Find Happiness?". Let us go back to the definition of the word "Happiness" and I guess we can find the answer.

Yes! It is being contented on what we have now. Not looking at the past and worrying about the future. After all the best things in life are Free, right?
